Do you know someone who needs a little extra help with home projects? Are you willing to help someone else with their home? Either way, we want to here from you! Make a Difference day – a community work day to help those in our town who have trouble working on their own homes- will be Saturday, April 26.
Make a Difference involves people from a number of churches and helps anyone who needs work done – things like raking leaves, winterizing, building steps, painting, you name it – we do it!
If you know someone who needs help, please contact Bev Byram at 319-626-2762.
If you are willing to help work on a home, all you need to do is sign up and show up. We form teams of 4 to 8 people (expect to get to know people from other churches) and work for about 3 hours at someone’s home. Most materials are provided (except gloves, rakes, and some tools), so Sign up online or contact the church for a paper form.
We are looking for volunteers of all ages, and this is a great family activity. So come and help us spread God’s love to our neighbors.
