Easter Morning dawned sunny and mild. The morning began with a Sunrise Service at the outdoor sanctuary followed by a potluck breakfast. The following services were held indoors. The need for the expansion was readily apparent. The parking lot was spilling over and extra chairs and benches were needed for seating. Attendance at the four services was 467. The high attendance approaches numbers traditionally seen at Christmas.
The service at 9:45 am was a joyful celebration of Christ’s victory over death. This service provided an opportunity to present a third grade student with a Bible. Mandy Moellering talked with a very large group of children about the symbols of the resurrection. Alecia Williams discussed Psalm 118 and the resurrection. The service concluded with Communion where ALL were welcome.
