Join us as we act as God’s hands and feet in our community Make A Difference Day is on Saturday, April 18. This is a great way for the whole family to serve the community. One volunteer stated, “I worked with a wonderful, caring, and dedicated group of people. Can’t wait to do it again next year.”
What type of work will we be doing?
Projects include yard work, small construction jobs, window washing, and many more. These projects improve the lives of the North Liberty community and are provided at no cost.
How long will it take?
The day is divided into morning (8:30—noon) and afternoon (12:30—4:00) shifts. Volunteers may sign-up for either one or both shifts.
Who would I work with?
A team (no more than 8 people) may sign-up together. Individuals can sign-up and be assigned to a team. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
What do we do the day of the event?
Teams gather (at 8:30 or 12:30) at the First United Methodist Church (85 North Jones Blvd). A short instruction session will be given, materials gathered, and teams will depart to their assigned homes.
How do I sign up?
Sign-up is available online at M.A.D. sign-up or on paper at the church. Sign-ups should be done before Monday, April 13. This allows for team-to- home assignments.
Teams and individuals registered by Monday, April 13 will receive their assigned homes by Thursday, April 16. We allow registrations the day of the event, but encourage pre-registration to ensure maximum team-to-home matches.

“This is our chance – as churches – to give back in the community and make a difference in someone’s life through our love of God,” said Bev Byram-Howe, the originator of the project.
