Pantry Happenings

The North Liberty Community Pantry has a website at Pantry.  They also have a Facebook page at Facebook.  Visit these sites to keep up with the many wonderful opportunities for volunteering and events.

Community GardensGardening for Health The Pantry focus recently has been planning for the Garden project. Garden Coordinator Ilsa DeWald and Becca Vasquez, the Pantry’s full-time AmeriCorps member helping with the Garden, have been busy organizing activities and getting ready for spring. There are many volunteers needed for this project, and experience is not necessary. A volunteer orientation will be held at the Pantry: Wednesday, April 15, 1:00—3:00 pm. Contact the Pantry at to register for one of these times. Remember, gardening activities are great exercise! We also want to thank the staff at Centro, Inc., for helping us to plan options for the rainwater catchment system for the garden. This system will allow us to save rainwater to use during dry periods.
