The construction on the church is complete. We are starting a new era in our church history. As we begin to enjoy the new space and opportunities for ministries, we are in the process of updating the website to meet the neww needs if the church. We are inviting anyone to join the website team. No experience needed. We are in need of articles and stories about the activities within the church.

Join us as we celebrate
The First United Methodist Church of North Liberty will host groundbreaking activities for the church expansion on Palm Sunday, April 9th.
Activities begin with a 9:45 am Worship Celebration followed at 11:00 am by the outside Groundbreaking Ceremony. Members of the community are welcome and encouraged to join in the festivities.
The church expansion includes construction of a Sanctuary, adult classrooms and a new Education Wing that will add more children and youth classrooms. This expansion will greatly enhance our ability to serve and minister to the community. The Educational Wing will allow Creation Kids Childcare, EPIC Youth programming, and the English Language Learners program to expand. The added space will provide the space for many more ministries.
The mission of the First United Methodist Church of North Liberty is to follow and invite others to follow Jesus Christ.

Make a Difference Day (MAD). This is a day we dedicate to community members who are in need of a hand around the house or outside. It is held in Spring at different dates and locations. Please check our website for the up coming calendar date.
Projects have included power washing, windows, painting, raking leaves or making minor home repairs. In addition, we can assist in home cleaning and organizing.
There are many projects limited only by the number of volunteers.
The Pantry is an exciting, vital place, and volunteers are an essential part of the ministry. Volunteers are always appreciated, and there are places for everyone, individuals as well as families.
How do we serve? By committing our lives to become more like Christ. We can become the hands and feet of Christ by serving those members of our community who are struggling. For more information please visit their website at https://northlibertycommunitypantry.org

The staff would like to take this time to thank everyone in the congregation for their generosity and helpfulness during the past year. It is wonderful to work in a place where you are appreciated and people show it in many ways.
Thanks from all of us to all of you
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers who have helped in the office over the past year. I have always said that, “OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE THE BEST!!” It doesn’t matter what the task is, I can always find someone who is willing to come in and help or help from home. There are not a lot of places where this happens, and I want you all to know that you have saved me on more than one occasion. THANKS for all the help in 2015. God has really blessed this church when it comes to volunteers. I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121: 1—2
Thanks again for all the help I have received in the office this year.
