New Horizons United Methodist Church is looking for a nursery worker on Sunday mornings to work from 8:45 to 11:15 am each Sunday. Must be able to pass a background check and experience with children is preferred. Pay is $20 per Sunday. Josh is looking for volunteers to help with the upcoming Bridge Event at New Horizons. The event will be a picnic and fellowship time for the New Horizons church and surrounding neighborhood. The event will take place on Sunday, August 25 from 11::30 to 3:00 pm. Please sign up on the info stub or on the sign up sheet.
Lamplighters will meet for a pot luck picnic at the Quail Ridge Park shelter, between 965 and Jones Blvd, on Saturday, August 24, at 4:00 pm. Bring a dish to share and lawn chairs, if possible. There are only two picnic tables in the shelter, so check with Judy Bornkessel, 319-853-0262, if you can bring an extra card table for additional seating.
