New Church, Website Updates

The construction on the church is complete.  We are starting a new era in our church history. As we begin to enjoy the new space and opportunities for ministries, we are in the process of updating the website to meet the neww needs if the church.  We are inviting anyone to join the website team.  No experience needed.  We are in need of articles and stories about the activities within the church.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You….

The staff would like to take this time to thank everyone in the congregation for their generosity and helpfulness during the past year. It is wonderful to work in a place where you are appreciated and people show it in many ways.

Thanks from all of us to all of you

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers who have helped in the office over the past year. I have always said that, “OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE THE BEST!!” It doesn’t matter what the task is, I can always find someone who is willing to come in and help or help from home. There are not a lot of places where this happens, and I want you all to know that you have saved me on more than one occasion. THANKS for all the help in 2015. God has really blessed this church when it comes to volunteers. I lift up my eyes to the hills where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121: 1—2

Thanks again for all the help I have received in the office this year.

Staff Parish Relations Committee

The Ministry Council has approved the SPRC’s recommendation of a 3% raise for the church staff. We continue to make efforts to compensate our staff in accordance with Conference requirements and regional wages. Pastor Alecia’s salary is just above the conference average for church’s our size and we are maintaining Pastor Josh’s salary slightly above the Conference minimum.

We believe that we have an above average staff in all capacities and wish we could offer more, but we also are realistic about the church budget constraints. Please remember that everyone’s stewardship is important to provide appropriate compensation for our staff.

The leadership of Alicia, Josh, Beth, along with the supportive work of Bev in the office, Lynn’s music direction, and Omar’s Latino ministry support, keep the North Liberty United Methodist Church vibrant in ministry and faith.
