Monthly Community Meal

The Community Meal at the North Liberty Living Center is Saturday, October 17. Volunteers are needed to serve and/or donate food and to visit with the seniors. Meat dishes, vegetable dishes, and dessert dishes are needed for this meal.

To volunteer or donate contact Laura Bibby at 319-331-3866 or email her at laurahawkeye@hotmail.com. When contacting Laura by email, please include the type of food dish you can donate or which type of volunteering suits you better.

Make A Difference

Mark your calendars and join us.

Make a Difference Day is Saturday, October 24 from 8:30 am to noon.

Teams will meet in the MOC at NL First United Methodist Church.

This meeting will provide instructions before starting the day.

Register by completing the  Online Volunteer Sign up  or using the paper registrations are outside the church office.

Registrations must be completed by 10/18.

Team assignments will be communicated by telephone calls and/or emails a few days before the event.

To make changes, ask questions or to sign someone up for help,

contact your church representative or Bev Byram at 319-626-2762.

Feeding Our Community

The next Community Meal is Saturday, September 19 at 12:00 pm.

The meal is held at The North Liberty Living Center (Ashley Court).

Volunteers are needed to serve the meal and/or provide a meat dish, vegetable dish, fruit dish or dessert.

Servolution Back-to-school Events

Life Church in North Liberty is gearing up for their back-to-school Love Wins project Servolution . This event is designed to serve under-resourced families in our community. They are hosting two events to give away shoes, haircuts, groceries, school supplies, and much more. Click Servolution 2013 to view a video about their last event.

To attend:

Kirkwood Elementary 1401 9th St, Coralville, IA 52241 on August 20th from 2-5pm

Penn Elementary 230 N. Dubuque St. North Liberty, Iowa 52317 on August 21st from 3-6pm

To donate:
They are preparing for Servolution by collecting NEW tennis shoes for children. They hope to collect 1000 pairs. To volunteer your time at the event, or to find out what sizes of shoes are needed, contact Adam@LifeChurchNow.org

Feeding our Community

First United Methodist Church North Liberty is responsible for The Community Meal on June 27 at noon. The meal will be served at Meal at North Liberty Living Center. Volunteers are needed to serve the meal.  Donations of food dishes are needed. Contact Laura Bibby at laurahawkeye@hotmail.com or use the info stub in the Sunday bulletin to volunteer.
