There will be a benefit spaghetti supper and art sale on Friday, August 22 starting at 6:00 pm. The benefit is for the Grimes family, who live in the neighborhood across from the church, and are a very ordinary family doing something extraordinary! They are adopting a sight impaired teenager. They really need their community’s support for this endeavor. Come and help support this family.
Do you have a heart for outreach in our community? Is God calling you to do something new? If you are looking for a new and different way to be Christ’s hands and feet in North Liberty, please join us.
We are beginning the process of gathering folks excited about building a stronger, connected, supportive community in North Liberty. We want to invite you to participate with us at one of the gatherings on:
Thursday, 3/27 – 7 PM at First United Methodist Church (in the church library)
Thursday, 4/3 – 7 PM at Life Church
Sunday, 4/6 – 11:30 AM at Grace Community Church (room #306 in the east wing)
The purpose of our gatherings is to talk about where God is leading us into ministry outside our walls. We have some results of community listening posts from last year, which may serve as a beginning for the discussion, but we want to spend most of our time talking together about each other’s ideas and thoughts on building community.
